The „BalticMuseums 2.0 Plus“ project was granted additional funding of about 50.000 Euros by the European Union. This extension will prolong the project until end of 2014 and enhance the project consortium and the project targets.
Core of the extension period will be the dissemination of the project results. The Marinmuseum Karlskrona in Sweden will be included as a new project partner and obtain the know-how gathered by the project. The new partner will both visit the other museum partners, participate in a training session in Klaipeda (LT), but also organise a dissemination event at its own venues.
Furthermore, „eGuide Lab“ events will be organized by the museum partners of the BalticMuseums 2.0 Plus project to share the know-how with a professional community e.g. comparable institutions or stakeholders of regional tourism.
To reach an ever broader audience, the partners are planning additional dissemination campaigns (online marketing, billboard).

The Gotlands Museum is in a leading role of an active museums network in the operational area of the Baltic Sea Region. This network intents to sharpen its tourist orientation just in a seed money project financed by the Swedish Institute. The involvement of this institution as an Associated Organisation will help to disseminate the findings of BalticMuseums 2.0 Plus project within the Baltic Sea Region area in favour of promoting the natural and cultural heritage as a common resource.
As Wroclaw Zoo intends to implement eGuides in their institutions. Therefore as they are interested to learn from the BalticMuseums2.0 Plus experiences. Based on this strong interest they will open the way for disseminating the project outcomes to further branches and this way deepen the impact of the project results. The institution participates in the project extension 2014 as an Associated Organisation .
Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Tourist Board is the leading organisation in this field in this German Federal State. The institution has been member of the projects’ advisory board and is now enlarging its engagement as an Associated Organisation. The dissemination of project outcomes and results will benefit from their knowledge and experiences about the actual demand in tourism industry and the future tends regarding customers behaviour. Furthermore this organisation will serve as a gateway to other actors in tourism industry in order to learn about their approaches and results.
Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Tourist Board will help to disseminate the projects findings and outcomes to a broader public, especially to stakeholders and other players in this sector. Due to its position in public life this organisation will open the access to regional policy makers in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and enable an effective lobby work.
